About the Opportunity

We're partnering with our client, one of the most respected names in Michigan's tile, stone, and flooring industry, to find their next Tile & Stone Project Manager/Estimator. Our client operates a fully integrated system from design through installation, backed by three showrooms and a portfolio spanning both commercial and residential work (roughly 70% commercial / 30% residential). They're looking to add a Project Manager/Estimator who wants to build a long-term career with a company that's still growing and take real ownership of how projects get delivered.

The Role

Our client is looking for an experienced Project Manager/Estimator to manage a full pipeline of tile and stone projects — typically 5–10 active jobs at any given time — from initial bid through final installation. This is a project-management-forward role: you'll own client relationships, coordinate field execution, and drive projects to completion, backed by accurate, efficient estimating.

You'll report directly to company leadership and play a key role in how projects are run day to day — this is a high-visibility seat with real ownership and real expectations.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of 5–10 concurrent commercial and residential tile/stone projects from bid through completion
• Work directly with suppliers, architects, designers, building owners, facility managers, and general contractors to select products that fit project budgets
• Oversee field execution in coordination with installation associates and subcontractors
• Create and submit contracts, change orders, purchase orders, and quotes (material and labor pricing) throughout the project lifecycle
• Schedule measure and installation appointments with clients
• Attend pre-install and project progress meetings
• Read and thoroughly understand project drawings and specifications
• Order and track product, and coordinate deliveries to jobsites
• Track project progress and troubleshoot issues in the field
• Estimate projects with speed and accuracy using the company's estimating system
• Identify, respond to, and accurately bid new project opportunities
• Collaborate across departments to ensure a seamless client experience

What Our Client Is Looking For

• Previous experience in the tile, stone, or flooring industry strongly preferred
• Prior experience as a Project Manager, Estimator, or in a similar project-management role
• Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
• On-screen takeoff experience required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word for bid calculations and proposals
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, sketches, and construction schedules
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• MeasureSquare and/or Floorzap experience a plus
• A steady, level-headed approach under pressure — this role carries real deadline and coordination demands
• A motivated self-starter looking to grow with a company and build a long-term career (they're looking for someone who wants to stay 5–10+ years, not a short-term stop)

Schedule

• Monday–Friday, Saturdays as needed (Looking for 6 days a week minimum)
• In-office and on job sites

Compensation & Benefits

• $80,000–$100,000 base salary, depending on experience, plus bonus opportunity
