Engineer How the Hardest Parts Get Made
We are an engineering-driven precision manufacturing organization supporting advanced aerospace and defense programs. Our work centers on complex 5-axis machining—tight tolerances, difficult materials, and NPI-heavy programs—executed on world-class equipment.
This is not a desk-only CAM role.
This role is for a Senior Manufacturing Engineer who wants full ownership of how parts are made—from CAD model through validated production—while working directly on the shop floor during setups, prove-outs, and first-run builds.
If you thrive where engineering decisions directly impact quality, cycle time, and execution, this role is built for you.
What You’ll Do
-
Program complex 5-axis CNC components using Siemens NX
-
Develop, optimize, and validate advanced multi-axis toolpaths for high-complexity parts
-
Support and troubleshoot machines running Siemens One and Heidenhain TNC 7 controls
-
Lead programming and process development for NPI, first-article builds, and complex production work
-
Own machining processes from model to metal
-
Collaborate closely with machinists, quality, and engineering during setups and prove-outs
-
Optimize cycle time, tool life, workholding strategy, and overall process stability
-
Create and maintain production-ready programs, setup documentation, and engineering standards
-
Support troubleshooting and continuous improvement initiatives on the shop floor
-
Identify process risks early and drive corrective actions before production impact
What We’re Looking For
-
Proven experience programming 5-axis CNC machining centers
-
Strong proficiency in Siemens NX (multi-axis, surfacing, complex toolpaths)
-
Experience supporting Siemens and/or Heidenhain CNC controls
-
Background in aerospace, defense, or other high-complexity machining environments
-
Strong understanding of GD&T, fixturing strategy, and material behavior
-
Comfortable working hands-on with machines, setups, and operators
-
Experience leading or owning programs, including project / program management
-
Ability to engage directly with internal stakeholders and external customers when required
-
U.S. Person eligible to work on ITAR-regulated programs
Physical Demands & Work Environment
-
Frequent standing and walking on the shop floor
-
Regular sitting while programming and reviewing models
-
Reaching, including overhead, during machine support and setup reviews
-
Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs (tooling, fixtures, components)
-
Work around large CNC equipment, moving machinery, and overhead cranes
-
Adherence to all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and safe-work practices
Safety Expectations
-
Maintain a strong safety-first mindset
-
Follow all company and regulatory safety procedures
-
Proactively identify and communicate potential safety or process risks
-
Lead by example during setups, prove-outs, and troubleshooting activities
What We Offer
-
$120,000–$140,000 base salary, depending on experience
-
Brand-new, climate-controlled facility with modern 5-axis equipment
-
Direct access to leadership—engineering has a real voice
-
Work on high-visibility, mission-critical aerospace & defense programs
-
Long-term growth with a company scaling thoughtfully and correctly
